Forest Rehabilitation
We were contracted through the provincial government’s Forests for Tomorrow (FFT) program to manage funds, devise treatment strategies and implement projects to rehabilitate Crown forest lands impacted by catastrophic wildfire and the mountain pine beetle epidemic. Under the Land Based Investment Strategy and operating primarily within the Mackenzie and Dawson Creek timber supply areas, we conducted map analysis to identify candidate sites for rehabilitation, carried out field surveys, developed rehabilitation prescriptions and supervised the treatment of specified areas. Treatment regimes included site preparation and replanting.
